Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe to retire

Recommended Posts

Every bobby has to retire sometime, even senior ones. Has he been measured for his House of Lords regalia yet?

Well...

Looking at BHH's career, he was HMIC before becoming Met Commissioner. I'll bet that Sir Tom Winsor is making sure his mobile is switched on

I saw  BH-H interviewed on Sky last evening - he was very clear that he wants to "pursue further professional opportunities" ....................... I'm sure he will have a fair few captains of industry knocking at his door or he may have to do with a seat on the Board of Control Risks but that would be a nice addition to his pension I'm sure  :tongue_cheek:  Anyhow, all the best to him - whatever we might think, he has done his time, paid his pension contributions; so he's entitled to a decent retirement I guess.
