  1. To all you detectives out there. Is there a decent CID shift pattern that we can adopt? We have four teams but the DCI wants two shifts working days on a Saturday, but we want two weekends off in the 28 day rota. I think it's impossible. Any ideas?? Cliffy.

    NIE

I HAVE JUST GONE BACK ONTO THE CID AFTER SPENDING 6 YEARS IN UNIFORM. I ATTENDED THE NATIONAL CID COURSE BACK IN 1998, AND HAVE BEEN WONDERING WHETHER OR NOT I'LL HAVE TO SIT THE NIE AND ATTEND ANOTHER COURSE. ANY IDEAS??

    2#2#2 shift system

Hi, SWP had smarter policing in the early part of this decade which turned out to be a disaster with officers from all areas covering different areas each shift. That was soon binned and 4 on 4 off came in. Thats going now and things seem to be getting bigger with swansea and neath/port talbot joining to make one super bcu.

Sorry, I should have explianed that it is a two morning 07.00-17.00, two evening 17.00-03.00, two night 22.00-07.00. Then 4 days off.
  5. Hi, is anyone here working this system. I am due to start it shortly when swp introduce it and was wondering what officers thought of it? Cheers
