  1. Hi guys I'm new to the forum and wanted to get some advice. I'm currently at university studying policing as my goal is to join the police force. 2 years ago I caught without driving with insurance (stupid I know and wish it never happened). I got 6 points on my licence and got a fine. It's a spent conviction so by the time I finish uni it will be off my record and I can't apply till then. I applied to become a special but got rejected on those grounds. So I was wondering even though after 5 years will it still hinder my application and always be a black mark against me? Would like to know what you guys think.
