    32 Search querie

Stupid question time... If you arrest someone as they have left their house and decide to search their address under sec 32 pace. Are you allowed to search any people in that address also. Read the legislation but can't make my mind up either way!

    Hearing Test

Hi All, Im a PC in a UK force, and have recently applied for a new role. However I failed the hearing test on 3 occassions ( the test where you have to click the button when you hear a noise!) I was told that my hearing in one ear was a 3B, that they would take people up to a 3 and that if I was already in the role it wouldnt be such an issue. My other ear was fine! Ive now been rejected and told that I won't considered for the role I was going for!To be honest i'm gutted about this and was wondering if anyone on here had faced a similar situation and found a solution? Cheers for reading!

    IPCC

Complaint was made to IPCC in feb 2013. My colleague found out about the investigation in april 2014 when he was informed by the new force he was trying to join. How can this be right!!!!

    IPCC

He was issued with a 163 notice two weeks after the incident,by the dps, however no further was taken. Then 14 months later he was informed by the force he was hoping to move to that he was under investigation by the ipcc

    IPCC

He seems to be struggling to get any good advice from our feds tbh.

    IPCC

A colleague of mine has been the subject of an IPCC investigation for some time, it has so far prevented him from moving to another force and is causing him a lot of grief, as his partner has moved to the new force area as she had also found a job. Its costing him a fortune as he gave up his house and now has to rent a room on top of paying for his new house also. So far the IPCC have constantly fobbed him and given him little or no updates. They never even informed him of the investigation and he only found out about it when his new force rejected his transfer! He is at his wits ends and it seems our fed reps don't really know what how to help my colleague. Is there anyone on here who is familiar with IPCC investigations and may be able to assist??

There are rumours about the met dropping to 24000 officers in the next few years. Interesting times ahead...

    Bad News

You wouldn't want to go back to having to write statements etc. We get what we deserve.
  10. Can this not be referred to the attorney general as an unduly lenient sentence. Not sure how that occurs though.

    Mobile phone use.

Doesn't make it any safer though does it?

    Mobile phone use.

Does this include police officers using their radio's while driving?
  13. FB and Twitter should start contributing to the cost of policing, we expect the same from nightclubs and venues which generate crime, so why not??
  14. Has anyone transferred from a Home Office force to the MOD police, and if so what is the effect on your pension? Cheers in advance for any replies!
