Northumbria Police - again

Information from BBC NE News tonight.

 

Northumbria Police have hit the local headlines again. Cast your mind back 4 or so years when Pc David Rathband was shot whilst on duty and sitting in his patrol car. It is claimed that a warning had been given to the Northumbria Control Room that Raoul Moat the person who shot him, was armed and on the 'hunt to shoot a Police Officer.' This message apparently was not passed out to officers, (Incl David Rathband) who were on patrol looking for him.

 

The action is being brThey are taking legal action for compensationought by his brother and sister on behalf of his children. Northumbria Police have declined to comment.

The action is being brought by his brother and sister on behalf of his children. Northumbria Police have declined to comment. They are taking legal action for compensation

The Chief at that time was a disaster waiting to happen, and was accused of bullying, was she not.  They were also one of the Forces who cancelled officers Injury Pensions, unlawfully.
