‘The police were brilliant,’.Story of Steve Coupland!

Higgins may be Pondlife, but he deserves some credit for refusing to testify.

The Crap prosecution Service are scared of their own shadow, and don't have the guts to just say NFA,

it's time for the CPS to be disbanded and the police go back to the old days when they prosecuted, we didn't

lose half the cases the CPS do, and we only took cases to court that needed to be.

Has anyone yet met a decent CPS solicitor who knows his stuff, most of the ones I met were 22 year olds, just out of law

school, who were on the basic pay(pay peanuts, get monkeys)and knew nothing. I know they all have to learn,

but not at the expence of important prosecutions.

Was that rhetorical?

Yes actually. But only when I was working on serious crime where you got to discuss the case as the investigation went along - a bit like the DA relationship you see on Hill Street Blues and the like.

Also did some work around CPIA in sensitive areas with a senior prosecutor who was a specialist (if not expert) in the area.

But have to admit these were more the exception than the rule.
