  1. Met fitness tests.

    Hi! New to the forum, so I hope I've got this in the right place! Got my day one next week and I'm relatively confident about it, but I'm less so for if I get through and move on to the day two with the fitness tests. The pushing/pulling are fine, but does anyone know how intense the running is? Also, not the smallest person, so are they massively strict if you're a bit on the larger side? Cheers in advance!
  2. Getting back to work

    Hello all, Tricky question this and I do apologise if the answer from similar questions has been posted elsewhere. Right, as we all know if an officer is off work with an ailment or an injury or both they will trigger different stages and meetings will be held to get that officer back to work. However, I pose the following question: If an officer goes to see his or hers GP and are provided with a fit to work note after a sick period, all be it with certain restrictions, the force doctor then refuses to allow the officer back to work as he or she disagrees with the GP. If the force doctor then asks the officer to get another sick note saying they are unfit for work and this in turn pushes the officer into another stage meeting where does the said officer stand?. The aforementioned restrictions are in line with the Equality Act 2010. It does seem to me that officers are trying to get back to work but they not only face getting cleared by their GP but the force doctor too. This double whammy is surely unfair towards the officers. If the officer gets to a stage three meeting the force can get rid of the officer, however, the only reason they got there was due to medical extensions by force doctors. Can anyone give any advice on this issue????
