  4. Where have they gone

So us mods are unapproachable? Again i find it strange that you think you can insult a whole group of people and not expect any criticism yourself. As i have mentioned previously the police community forum is not just used by met officers or specials, it used by officers across the country who have got many years experience. With respect your attitude is dreadful, you really expect people to engage with you, when you hurl insults at them?
  5. Where have they gone

How is it obscure? You created this thread in the wrong area, i am sure you knew that. As it is i have left a link in the GD area so people will be able to easily find it. Anyway back on topic....
  6. Where have they gone

I do agree that moderation under the previous regime was OTT and did not provoke debate, we have unlocked a number of threads as you rightly say were locked for no reason. Hopefully our style of moderating will be more relaxed, the police community forum has been a huge success since we launched just over 3 years ago, i dont see why we can't make a success of this one as well. As for merging the forums, as i understand it, i don't think that option is on the table, we want to make a success of all 4 forums as separate entities.
  7. Where have they gone

Your opinions and you are welcome to them. I must say though the polcomforum is not just for PCSO's or Specials, regular officers who have got ALOT of experience are some of our most regular contributors, just because they don't agree with you does not mean they "know nothing" As for this forum, yes it is quiet, it has been very quiet for a number of years now, however hopefully in due course it will pick up. What might be more constructive than insulting members from a different forum is to give your ideas on how this forum could be improved?
  8. Forum Adverts

Ads like the Winter is here ad? Again these are nothing to do with the forum, these are google ads, you can turn them via your google settings. @Chief Cheetah can double check but fairly sure of the above.
  9. Forum Adverts

Google ads can appear everywhere unless you don't give google permission. They are targeted ads based on the information google collects about you based on what you search for, what you look for on youtube etc. Have you got a screenprint of the ad you saw?
  10. This section of the forum is for you to post any non UK Police related stories. Please note that due to copyright restrictions you must only include the title, the first line of the article and a link to the original article. Articles from the BBC can be posted in full, but must also include a link to the original article. So before posting an article from a newspaper please check to see if it is available from the BBC instead. We are allowed to post a limited number of Police Oracle articles, in full, each month. Therefore, if you want to share a Police Oracle story, please only include the first line of the article and a link to the original article. All news articles will be hidden until moderator approval is given. Before posting in the News area can I please request that you: . post the story (for BBC news articles only) or the first line of the article (all other sources) and not just a link. Not everybody is able to follow a link so can't therefore see your story. .ensure you include a link and cite the source of your news story - we do not own the copyright and MUST credit the source. I'd also like to remind police officers, PCSOs, police staff and police volunteers not to release any information whatsoever that is not already in the public domain. "In the public domain" means the information has already been widely circulated on TV and/or radio, in the mainstream press, or on public access internet news sites. Note that on occasion, information which has previously been published in the mainstream may for legal reasons be subject to reporting restrictions at a later time; such information must not be reproduced here on the forum. Doing so may jeopardise ongoing police investigations and/or legal proceedings and may result in prosecutions for example under the Data Protection Act or Official Secrets Act. When replying to news articles please remember that everyone is (under the UK legal system) innocent until proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt. Thank you for your cooperation.
